Repertory: For young beginners (ages 4-7), Dr. Bauer typically assigns Irina Gorin's Tales of a Musical Journey. Written in the form of a chapter book, this unique musical method uses a fairy tale setting and characters to make complicated techniques easy and fun. Older beginners use John Thompson's Modern Course for the Piano, while more advanced students quickly move into a variety of popular and classical literature, depending on interest and ability.
